The New York Upper East Side location of the Modern Age wellness studio reiterates the flagship’s iconic and evocative reception desk: biomorphic curves rendered in stainless steel with a hefty earthen and orthogonal plinth. The desk encapsulates the whole story: At once a spa and clinical office, the studio engenders feelings of lux recreation and medical precision. The formal conceits established in the Ringo-designed flagship space are continued in this new location, a natural extension of the brand as it settles into a new neighborhood. Biomorphic arched doorways and niches and lime washed walls are complemented by frosted glass, matte doors, and a massive stainless steel bathroom vanity.
