Venus et Fleur

Centering on the principles of timelessness, a grounded sense of permanence, and an heirloom quality, Ringo Studio’s design for the brand’s new Houston outpost is characterized by elegant materials, balanced symmetry, and nods to a romantic and classical architecture,  intentionally accentuating the vibrant florals and spotlighting their timeless beauty.

The entrance, painted in a pistachio limewash, serves as a portal, inviting visitors to transition into the brand’s universe and creating a sense of compression that frames the main retail floor. The central area is encircled by arched niches, resembling the rhythmic structure of a serene cloister and presenting the brand’s collection of flowers and vessels in varying hues. The journey concludes with a surprise moment at the back of the store: a content room with larger-than-life floral sculptures and custom-designed rose-patterned curtains that allow visitors to be fully immersed in the world of Venus et Fleur, captivating audiences via an interplay of pattern and scale evoking a romantic oversized rose garden. The content room, designed to be a dynamic and ever-evolving space, can be easily transformed to create a new visitor experience on a rotating basis.

The store’s material palette balances classical architecture elements with elevated luxury touches such as a diamond pattern ceramic floor, green marble tiles, and brass details throughout. Fluted panels in a warm creamy finish offer a softly glowing backdrop for the product shelving and connect the architecture of the space to the elegant, timeless quality of the florals. The florals are merchandised by color giving the room a gradient of deep hues to bright blushes and pearls. A large and monolithic table, embossed with Venus et Fleur and finished with a green marble tile showcases the brand’s new homeware collection featuring ceramic vases, marble bowls, delicate porcelain trays, and floral-inspired glassware. Ringo Studio’s design extends Venus et Fleur’s brand identity of timeless elegance into a physical, built experience—one where each element is carefully considered to create a harmonious, grounded experience of romantic luxury.
