Introducing Sama Oral Wellness

Located in New York’s Flatiron District, Sama Oral Wellness Ringo Studio project is redefining oral care as an essential part of the modern wellness movement. Founded by Dr. Jaskaren Randhawa and brought to life through immersive interior design by Ringo Studio, Sama merges advanced dental treatments with restorative holistic therapies in a serene, design-forward sanctuary.

“Sama is a testament to our mission to elevate everyday environments through extraordinary interiors that nurture and inspire.” — Madelynn Ringo, Founder of Ringo Studio

Sculptural Details with a Whimsical Edge

Designed by Ringo Studio, Sama transforms the typical dental office into an immersive wellness space. The interiors feature sage limewash walls, warm oak, natural stone mosaics, and sculptural detailing that set a serene tone. At the reception, a custom desk inspired by organic tooth forms playfully connects to Sama’s oral wellness mission. Decorative ceiling medallions, arches, and colonnades add layers of sophistication, blending Parisian elegance with spa-like calm.

Sequenced Experience and Sensory Flow

The architecture of Sama is carefully choreographed to mirror the body’s journey from tension to release. Visitors move through a sequence of transitions — compression to expansion, shadow to light — that elevate the experience of oral wellness into something more ritualistic. This sequencing heightens awareness of each moment, making a visit to Sama as restorative for the senses as it is for oral health.

Connection to Nature in the Urban Context

Central to Sama’s ethos is bringing nature indoors. Oak, greenery, and stone mosaics soften the clinical expectations of a dental office, grounding the space in organic warmth. Sage-colored limewash walls and mellow lighting create a tranquil backdrop that reconnects visitors with the natural world. This design approach offers a sanctuary in the heart of Flatiron, a deliberate contrast to the intensity of New York City.

Ringo Studio’s Design Philosophy

Sama reflects Ringo Studio’s larger mission: transforming everyday environments into extraordinary, immersive experiences. By layering natural materials, whimsical forms, and thoughtful sequencing, the design redefines what oral care can feel like. Sama is not just a dental office — it is a calming retreat where patients reconnect with their bodies, their senses, and the ritual of wellness.

The name Sama, Sanskrit for “balance, equilibrium, and natural health,” reflects the practice’s mission: to connect oral health with overall well-being.

A Holistic Approach to Oral Care

Sama’s integrative model bridges the gap between dentistry and wellness. Services range from microbiome testing, preventive care, and restorative dentistry to wellness treatments such as functional massage, infrared therapy, nutritional consultations, and facial rejuvenation. This holistic system emphasizes the critical link between oral health, chronic disease prevention, and longevity.

“We aim to transform how people view oral health, making it an essential pillar of overall wellness and healthspan.” — Dr. Jaskaren Randhawa, Founder of Sama
